Strathmore School is a Special Educational Needs School that aims to provide a happy, safe, supported and structured environment in which students will flourish. As an organisation, the school strives to meet both the educational and care needs of every individual.
Having been involved in the recent development of Strathmore School’s new Russell Primary School campus, Astor Bannerman are pleased to have provided multiple Ceiling XY Hoist Systems working alongside the large construction company: Lakehouse.

THE SOLUTION
With XY Systems covering three Classrooms, a Sensory Room, a Soft Play area and a Hygiene Room, the primary school is now totally accessible to all students attending. The Astor OT200 Ceiling Hoist offers a compact and quiet transfer solution across all of these areas.
Taking place over 2 days, the installation of the Ceiling Hoist Systems was accomplished with relative ease; working closely with the contractor allowed for a clear communication and quick completion. We liaised with the contractor to install a steel frame designed specifically to mount the Ceiling Hoist Track, which kept the costs down and gave a smooth install process.
Ensuring a solution for every room, flush XY trolleys were used to avoid obstructions on the walls in two of the rooms. Choosing flush XY tracking also helps to create a truly unobtrusive, clean and aesthetic finish helps provide a tidy learning environment within the classrooms, hygiene rooms and sensory playrooms.
