OpeMed Revitalise Bathing Equipment at Julia’s House Dorset
OpeMed Re-design and Revitalise Assisted Bathing Equipment at Julia’s House Dorset.
This time last year we were thrilled to be involved in re-development of Julia’s House Hospice in Devizes who offer respite for families and their children. The high profile project was supported by an array of A-List celebrities and was a cause close to many peoples hearts and we were proud to have been able to fit out the facility with our state-of-the-art equipment, from Hoists, Ceiling Track, Assisted Baths, Height and Horizontal Adjustable Washbasins to Adjustable Grab Rails. This year we have been delighted to support Julia’s House Hospice once again in another of their facilities – this time located in Dorset
With the redevelopment of the Dorset based facilities, OpeMed were commissioned to transform and revitalise bathrooms throughout the Hospice. Working on the Ground Floor bathroom the project included the Aquaclean Wash / Dry Assisted Toilet, the PR4750 Height Adjustable Washbasin with integrated grab rails and the Easi-Lift Height Adjustable Changing Table blue including an OpePlus Support arm and grab rail.
The first-floor bathroom required a complete renovation and included the Kiva Height Adjustable Bath with TMV3 temperature controlling taps, specialised integrated Neatfold Changing Table and a Shower Gantry System (shepherds crook) to prevent cross-contamination of the water. Also included in the updated bathroom is the unique ABW6/SP Height Adjustable Washbasin with an array of features from water distribution, light function, pop up waste all controllable via remote control, the Aquaclean Wash / Dry Assisted Toilet and an OpePlus Support arm and grab rail.
The final room involved in this project was a bedroom en-suite with essential equipment that included the PR4750 Height Adjustable Washbasin and Manual Height Adjustable Shower Chair with integrated backrest and support arms.
Working on this project we overcame a number of obstacles. The ground floor bathroom offered a tight space in which a range of equipment was required. Our Product Specialist local to Julia’s House Hospice in Dorset provided an advisory service alongside our Installation Engineer visiting on-site, assisting the client with product placement and assisting the contractor in the adaptation planning of the existing pipework to fit the new equipment.
The comprehensive planning, coordination and liaison between OpeMed, Julia’s House and the Contractor ensured a smooth and efficient project that kept on schedule despite severe weather conditions gripping the UK.
