OpeMed Install into National Trust
This week OpeMed had the pleasure of recently installing and opening the very first Changing Places at a National Trust venue in England.
Following numerous meetings with the National Trust and OpeMed team, Attingham Park in Shropshire became the first property to review all aspects of their accessibility and incorporate a full Changing Places toilet facility for their disabled visitors and their families.
This is a landmark facility which will pave the way for more National Trust venues to follow the lead of Attingham Park. As the National Trust are working directly with OpeMed, the service received, specialist equipment, advice given and finished facilities of all future facilities will all be of the same trademark high standard.
This new Changing Places facility was opened by Peter and Bethan Foden and their daughter Lowri who were overwhelmed by this welcome addition.
Bethan commented, “This is a gem of a toilet and we would like to congratulate the teams at Attingham and Astor-Bannerman. We had a wonderful time and it’s a very special place. We will be back. Putting a picture on the wall makes it a part of the place and not just a functional afterthought; and these things matter and count!”
Registered as the 816th Changing Places facility in the UK, Attingham Park can now welcome many more guests to enjoy their beautiful surroundings and deer park. You can see all the access information for this new facility on the Changing Places map here.
